Hi. I don't know if this reaches a human, but this announcement makes me very angry. And embarrassed to be associated with AFT, frankly.

Shameful sucking up to the billionaires pushing this AI trainwreck horseshit is exactly THE OPPOSITE of what we organized folks should be doing. Please read any of the experts on ed-tech: these people are not our friends.

I thought it was bad when the leadership of our union buddied up with Biden, the worst Democratic president and candidate in my lifetime. An impressive feat... his administration's anti-labor and anti-immigrant actions sit quite nicely in between the slow slide towards fascism of Trump 2016 and Trump 2024.

Now we're going to befriend fucking Sam Altman as he and his technofascist broligarch pals try to destroy the environment AND all functioning institutions at the same time with their broken machines that are nominally good at one thing: bullshitting.

Give me a fucking break.

ChatGPT and other large language models should be integrated with education only as a morality lesson in how billionaires must be stopped.

It's all of us versus the fascists and billionaires, and we need union leadership that understands that.
